1. Read the instructions: Before you begin, carefully read all the instructions provided with the dental impression kit. Make sure you understand the entire process before starting. If unclear please contact us.
2. Prepare the putty: Take the Blue putty out of the pot and split into equal piles with the amount of impression trays you have. (3 impression trays 3 piles, 4 impression trays 4 piles) repeat with the white putty. Mix one pile of Blue with one white till it is a unified Blue, (Once mixed this will set in 2 minutes so be quick with next few steps.)
3. Fill the tray: Roll the mixed putty into a sausage shape and place around the upper tray provided in the kit. Be sure to spread the putty in the tray being more generous around tooth area, avoid trapping air bubbles.
4. Position the tray: With clean hands, carefully position the tray in your mouth so that the putty covers the teeth you want to create an impression of. Make sure to press the tray firmly into place without biting down too hard.
5. Hold still: Keep your teeth in the putty for 2 minutes (3 minutes if putty was in the fridge) do not remove before!
6. Remove the tray: Once the impression time is complete, carefully remove the tray from your mouth by gently wiggling it to loosen the impression from your teeth. Don’t be alarmed if it feels a little stuck, this is a suction effect in your mouth.
7. Inspect the impression: Examine the impression to ensure that all the necessary details of your teeth have been captured. Look for any areas where the impression might be incomplete or distorted.
8. Repeat the process but doing your lower teeth, once finished do your upper teeth again.
